Bar Manager
This summer we are launching a cocktail and aperitivo bar at the distillery. Most of the seating is outside so it will be slightly weather dependent, but the plan is to open 2 or 3 nights a week from June till the end of September.
The drinks menu at present is a way of showcasing our drinks in a variety of cocktails that customers can then replicate at home (martini, negroni etc) but there is some scope for creative and unique recipes if needed, but this isn’t a necessity of the job.
We’ve built a small kitchen with a glass washer and there is an outside cooking area (wood oven and grill). Food offering will be simple small plates, designed for sharing and grazing. Wild garlic flatbreads, charcuterie boards, lamb skewers, whipped cods roe etc.
The outside area seats 30 to 50 customers.
We are either looking for someone with experience in hospitality who would be interested in running the bar. This will involve making and serving drinks, dealing with customers and helping manage any other staff on duty. This will also involve closing up and ensuring the bar and kitchen is well organised and kept in good condition.
At the moment the role in envisioned as a paid position within the company, but there is also the possibility of the someone taking this on as a separate business and running on a profit sharing model.
