Essentially a bloody mary with gin. We feel our seaweed gin works wonders in this cocktail. The savoury coastal botanicals match well with the umami tomato juice and the juniper, making a rich and satisfying cocktail.
RECIPE
Fill a shaker with ice, then add:
- 60ml Dry Gin
- 120ml Tomato juice
- 20ml Lemon juice
- Seasonings to taste (celery salt, black pepper, tabasco, lea and perrins)
Give it a very quick shake, and then pour into a highball with ice. No need to shake too long as its being served on ice anyway.
Hot tip:
If you’re making this for someone else and unsure how spicy to make it, ask them on a scale of 1-10 how hot they hot they would like it. Add the corresponding number of dashes of hot sauce. Personally I always reach for tabasco with this drink. After a number of years experimenting with different hot sauces, I feel certain comfort using the classic tabasco.
